We are looking forward to celebrating our graduates at the 91³Ô¹Ï 2025 commencement ceremony!
Important Details
WHEN AND WHERE:
Commencement will be held on Sunday, May 4, 2025 at 11 a.m. at the Amica Mutual Pavilion (the AMP), 1 LaSalle Square, Providence, RI. Directions to the AMP can be found .
Graduates must arrive by 9:45 a.m. Plan to leave your home early to avoid the possibility of heavy traffic in the area near the AMP due to other activities in the area. The ceremony typically lasts no more than 2 ½ hours, so any dinner reservations should be made late enough to allow time for travel and traffic.
The doors for general seating will open at 9:15 a.m.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE:
Students whose degree requirements will be completed during the following period: July, 2024 (Intersession) through May, 2025 (Spring Term).
CAPS AND GOWNS:
There is still time to order your cap and gown.Ìý If you have a cap and gown from a previous 91³Ô¹Ï commencement ceremony, you must order a new one this year. CAP AND GOWN PICK-UP DATES:
Plan to pick up your cap and gown at 91³Ô¹Ï during the cap and gown distribution event on Wednesday, April 30, from 12 p.m. – 5 p.m., in the Student Lounge on the East Greenwich Campus. ÌýIf you cannot attend the event, you may also pick up your cap and gown on Saturday, May 3, from 11 a.m. – 12 noon in the Student Lounge. A friend or family member may pick up your regalia if you are unable to attend either of the distribution dates.
GUESTS:
You may bring as many guests as you like. Guests of the graduates should plan to arrive early to find the best seats; doors to general seating will open at 9:15 a.m. All guests will be required to pass through the security zone.
The seating for guests is stadium style seating (accessed by stairs). There are several sections for guests who use mobility aids as well as those who do not use a mobility aid, but have difficulty walking (sections 101, 106, 110, and 124). These sections are available on a first come, first served basis. The guests sitting in these sections may be joined by only one other guest.
PARKING:
The two recommended parking garages are:

BAGS AND STROLLERS:
Baggage such as bags, briefcases, backpacks, and luggage are strictly prohibited. Guests entering the AMP are subject to a search. The AMP does not provide storage for any confiscated baggage. Drugs, weapons of any kind, baggage, noisemakers, or laser pointers are strictly prohibited at the AMP. For the complete list
Strollers are allowed; however, they cannot be brought to the seats or stored on the platforms designated for guests with mobility aids. Strollers should be stored at Guest Services, which is located on the concourse across from Section 128.
