In our Associate of Science (AS) in Building Construction Technology program, you develop essential construction skills to enter the workforce upon graduation or continue your studies in a bachelors degree program.
Taught by industry experts, the program offers a real-world setting in which you engage in your craft and collaborate with your peers in architecture, engineering, interior design, and the professional trades. Choose between two tracks based on your professional goals: building construction and design or building construction and cabinetmaking.

Cutting-edge computer-based processes for design, construction, and project management prepare students to tackle challenges in today’s construction industry. Building and construction design program graduates can consider entering the Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management (CMT).

Primarily focused on the construction of high-value interiors of residential and commercial buildings, the cabinetmaking curriculum includes the study of machinery and tools, wood as a material, and cabinetmaking joints and assembly. Students participate in comprehensive hands-on labs in cabinetmaking, kitchen, and bath design and construction.泭
To prepare for modern design and construction methods, students take courses in computer-assisted drafting (CAD) and computer-aided estimating. Graduates of this track often pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management.泭
Internships
Internships offer students the opportunity to apply the theoretical knowledge gained in the classroom to real-world construction projects. This invaluable hands-on experience fosters a deeper understanding of construction techniques, project management, and industry standards. The cabinetmaking track internship includes the study of machinery and tools, wood as a material, and cabinetmaking joints and assembly.
