Do you know how did Caesar salad obtain it’s name? Julius Caesar? No, the creator was Caesar Cardini Italian restauranteur in Mexico.
He created this recipe in 1924. And the first name of a salad was Aviator’s salad. Now, Caesar salad is the most popular salad in the world.

The original recipe called for romaine, garlic, croutons, parmesan cheese, boiled egg, olive oil, and Worcestershire sauce. But you can find so many different recipes.
In Broad Street Café salad bar 9 S Broad Street, Ridgewood NJ 07450 you can try a little bit different recipe from an original.

In our Caesar salad goes romaine lettuce, croutons, parmesan cheese, and Caesar dressing. Romaine lettuce is a variety of lettuce and grows in a tall head with dark green leaves.

When you break leaves you can see a “milky” liquid that gives a lettuce a little bit bitter flavor. Romain is full of Vitamin C and beta-carotene and makes it a heart-healthy greens
